We don't like how 'chatty' our Mentions updates in Teams have been.

When a member resource is mentioned in Inbox (for example, when a resource is added by someone else), and if the Teams 'companion app' has threads flowing into a channel, Teams will automatically mention them and generate an alert.

For example, we actively add resources to threads. Because we send an automated message that mentions someone in Inbox for that activity, that member also receives a mention in Teams.

We want to disable all of these member mentions from occurring within Teams.
