A user received the error "Failed to create a new thread. Please contact support!Request failed with status code 504"
This does not help the client understand what is happening. The ticket was created already so it caused a frustrating experience.
It would improve the experience if we could do the following:
  • Clearly state whether the ticket is created or not with a message like, "your ticket is created but we are experiencing technical difficulties. An engineer will reach out"
  • allow us to say how to contact support. Instead of " if you have any concerns in the meantime call 202-456-1111".
This would give a full message saying the ticket status: Ticket is created, not created, logged and will be created.
