Thread: it would be great if you can add the app version number with a link to the release notes within the inbox app. Small maybe located either in the bottom left under the gravatar icon or when you click on the gravatar icon. Create some kind of a visual que to show users a new update has been released. This will help force our team to be aware of changes.

Joe Silva: This absolutely makes sense. How do you see you and team acting on this info? For example, would y'all block training for new features, deploy MSI builds, etc etc - curious for any specific ways you embrace this info.

Marc Rosa: Our action would depend on the change log. For example, today I happened upon the new drop-down style submit button for time entries. I wouldn't have known about this, I just happen to notice something was different.

If it was a significant change, we would collaborate it and discuss any potential implications via our internal Slack channel, a training if necessary, however most of our team is savvy enough to understand a changes usage unless it was an operational change.

If it required an internal change review, for example a new MSI we would take that information and update our installation scripts.

I have also included an example of how another app does this, this is at the bottom of a fly out menu. It's a PWA so it does prompt when a new version is available.
