Ability to visualize open time slots in Planner
Users can now see exactly how much free time they have between scheduled events, making it easier than ever to manage a busy day.
What’s new:
Previously, all events in the Planner were stacked directly against each other, making it difficult to spot gaps in your schedule. Now, the Planner dynamically displays the "open" space between events, providing a more accurate visual representation of your day.
Key improvements:
- Gap visualization: Clearly see the duration of free time (e.g., "1h 30m available") between scheduled threads.
- Smart scheduling: Drag and drop a plan into an open slot, and the system will automatically schedule it for the next available 30 minutes.
- Flexible planning: You can still plan events without a specific time; the Planner remains flexible to your workflow.
- Easy adjustments: Need more than 30 minutes? Simply use the calendar dropdown on the event to adjust the start time or duration.
Why this matters: This update reduces the cognitive effort of "doing the math" on your schedule. One glance at the Planner now tells you exactly when you’re free and for how long.

Drag and Drop Enhancement for Planner Calendar

Mark Marquez
Description: Allow users to drag and drop items into specific time slots within the Planner Calendar, similar to ConnectWise PSA calendars. Each row would represent a 30-minute increment, and items dragged into a row would automatically set a 30-minute time interval. Users could adjust the timing with a calendar icon afterward.
Benefit: This feature would improve scheduling efficiency and user experience by providing more flexibility and precision in setting appointment times directly from the Planner Calendar interface.
