📅 See Your Team's Full Schedule with Planner ↔ Outlook Calendar
We're bringing Outlook calendar events directly into Planner — so dispatchers finally have the full picture when scheduling technicians.
What's new:
Previously, Planner only showed ticket-based work from your PSA. That meant meetings, training sessions, out-of-office blocks, and other non-ticket events were invisible to dispatchers — making it easy to accidentally double-book someone. Now, Planner pulls in Outlook calendar events alongside PSA schedules, all in one view.
Key improvements:
Complete availability at a glance: Dispatchers can see both ticket-based work and Outlook events (meetings, OOO, training) side by side — no more guessing if someone is actually free.
Automatic deduplication: If your PSA already syncs schedules to Outlook, Planner is smart enough to detect duplicates and show the event only once.
Privacy-respecting: Events marked Private in Outlook stay private in Planner. Admins can also hide event titles for specific users (like executives), replacing them with "Busy" while keeping time blocks visible.
Always up to date: Events sync every 10 minutes, with a rolling 2-week window of visibility.
Why this matters: Dispatchers no longer have to guess whether a technician is truly available. With Outlook and PSA schedules unified in Planner, you can schedule confidently and stop double-booking — without asking techs to manually block time.

Currently Planner does not show all tickets for a tech. In order for Service Technicians to be able to completely work out of Thread and follow their schedule.

Direct Integration with Microsoft Outlook

Rather than use the PSA as a proxy to sync in all calendar events, we need a direct integration with Microsoft Outlook as other integrations are less than ideal—so need to pull tickets/blocked hours from both the PSA specific calendars and Microsoft Outlook.

If Planner could integrate our M365 calendars as well as show schedule holds from PSA, that would be super helpful in using Planner.

In order for my team to switch to using Thread full time, we need to have Planner updated. Planner still doesn't sync everything that shows on the PSA calendar. Our techs can't follow the schedule if they can't see it.

Hi Thanish, are you still unable to see certain threads in Planner?
