When @mentions are released, we would like @mentioning internal resources to default to internal note and @mentioning client resources to default to reply

Marc Rosa - any chance this could be reviewed again and potentially prioritized? We have incidents that could easily be avoided of internal comments going to clients by accident. This implementation just seems logical. If I @mention an internal contact, why would it not default to switching context to an internal note? (and vice versa)

Hi there - I closed this item in error, so I'll go ahead and move this back to Under Review. We're doing "spring cleaning" here with our Feedback portal and mistakenly spotted this as a duplicate.
Keep the feedback coming!

Marc Rosa - I'm curious was this feature request considered? I think it would certainly be the most useful default for @mentions. Currently it seems that there is no logic that changes the message type based on whether the @mentioned person is internal or a client. This would be a major improvement to the @mention feature since it would facilitate easy collab with other techs without the fear that conversations default to client-facing as they do now....
